Veeam to Acquire Securiti AI in $1.73 Billion Deal to Enhance AI Data Governance
Veeam, a cloud data firm owned by Insight Partners, has agreed to acquire Securiti AI for $1.73 billion in a cash and stock deal. The acquisition, pending regulatory approval, is set to close in early December and will merge Veeam's backup and recovery solutions with Securiti's AI-driven data governance platform.
The combined entity aims to address critical challenges in AI data management, including permissions, accuracy, and privacy. Veeam estimates that 80%-90% of AI projects fail due to these issues. The unified system will offer a single dashboard for CDOs, CIOs, and CISOs to manage data across SaaS, hybrid, and multi-cloud environments.
"This partnership ushers in a new era for data," said Anand Eswaran, CEO of Veeam. The deal underscores the growing importance of AI and data security in enterprise technology, though no direct cryptocurrency or exchange implications were noted.
